Many people who visit the Wilderness either INTENTIONALLY or UNINTENTIONALLY are injured. Hiking, Back Packing, Fishing, Hunting, Mountain Climbing, Sking, Snow Boarding, Camping, and other outdoor activities attract thousands of people to areas of "Civilization" that are far away from Medical Care. Our programs teach participants exactly how to manage the most common medical emergencies and injuries encountered in the Wilderness Setting.
The class is set up as if you were a survivor of a small plane crash. You gain confidence as you treat injuries of fellow passengers and provide for each other's survival until help arrives. You learn to determine direction, obtain water, trap-capture-gather food, defend yourself from wild animals, build shelters, start a fire, improvise medical care, signal, and a LOT more! Injuries are moulaged realistically and even without any prior medical training, YOU learn to save lives, reduce suffering, and perhaps as important - you learn what NOT to do!
